Metaphysicist

I created this animation from scratch as part of a portfolio for a video game job application. Popular culture would have us believe that magic is like a gun, a resource that can be spent and reloaded. I wanted to change this by creating a visual metaphor for 3 paths as understood by anthropology. A ceremonial magician uses complex command chains to build a ritual to create a fireball. The sorcerer's button-combination conjures a fire spirit to usurp control of the fire ball. Finally a witch steps up, using a curse to separate the connection between sorcerer and spirit.
