January 5th - Though our new year started on Halloween, we are socially integrated to the rest of the worlds ideas about New beginning in January.
This month the new officers for the Oklahoma Pagan and Heathen Alliance take there new positions. I am the VP of Communication for 2009 among the other social duties I am involved in.
Founding Director of Oklahoma Earthfriends, an organization I help organize volunteers to physically get out in the countryside and be EarthKeepers. We clean up riverbanks, roadways, and create pretty camping spots along cold springwater creeks or lakeside areas that can be enjoyed by anyone freely.
I also work to help organize the Oklahoma Survivalists Network. Promoting disaster readiness within each members family and neighborhood.
For the last 5 years, I've been the facilitator for the Tulsa Witches, Pagans, and Goddess meetup groups and produce a newsletter for those meetups. This is a great bunch of folks from all Earthbased paths and through our donation collections this group has saved 9 acres of the Maya Rainforest, contributed to Greenpeace's fight to save the whales, fought to protect the wild wolves of Alaska that are being killed for sport from airplanes, and adopted two wolves, one in Yellowstone and one in Alaska, plus two polar bears in Alaska.
Then comes my own spiritual group. I'm the founder of The Children of the Green Goddess Network of Covens that are active in several states.
So, what do I do in my "spare time"? I'm an artist, and herbalist. Either mixing up potions and lotions for sale online through mountainclimate.net or showing at Native American art shows. Then I'm a curator for an art gallery. Balancing these situations could be difficult if going with the flow and connection to the Goddess wasn't my main activity. Sometimes she scolds me for one activity or another, but mostly she gently guides me to be all that I can and should be at any given time.
I am blessed
