My favourite sin is pride.
You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make yourself an idol in the form of anything." Exodus 20: 3,4 |
Though I am recognized as a heretic, my belief is firm and I accept it as righteous. I accept the divine absolutely, recognizing an omniscient, omnipotent omnipresence in a monotheism. In admiring the weave of the veil I found my fingers knotted in the threads: marionette strings pulled by Gipetto and Pinnochio both.
My Sin: I am.
I am here: a blend of experiences rendered by 5 senses that Cartesian reason has left petty to me. Yet the still backstage, the ultimate lack of the validity of taste, touch, sight, and sound, inspires the curiosity: what are we experiencing for? Unable to settle with unanswered questions, I'll race for the next conclusion. Who am I to know? What does knowing matter? If it did not, then what does it? If I am naught, then I can not, and if I do then I am, and must be, if for no reason other than want.
First and foremost, I am an artist. Stripped of everything I will keep my skill to change one thing into the same thing with a unique familiarity to something different. Take away my body, though, and I lose this. Besides, I am forever cursed by my limitation to the preexistent. Who among us has sculpted new, painted unknown, even imagined what has not previously been presented? I can paint, but only with the colors in the rainbow. What color lies outside those purple edges? Even if I did see it, I would only be upset because I could not perceive the vision of sound, only of light. Then, why must I only perceive sound and sight, why not create wave and light. Only, even if I could create wave and light I would be jealous of not being able to construct the concepts of equal value to wave and light. Even when I think about what I would create now, I merely stumble because it all reflects what is already there.
So here I am: one in a part, tied to all of the others, able to move but only by dragging the rest with, and utterly aware. I try to wrestle off the awareness to settle in as just another thread in the veil. I will play my role, but I will play my own role too. I accept my responsibility. I want more as well, and I do not know if it is more important to take it now, or let it be served to me later. I have this limited life to take those risks, and I must play and gamble. So be it. Let us play.

I'll be leaving Facebook over this.
They censored my sharing, from a reputable news source, an important story about an ethnic minority that had to change their religion to accommodate globalist, economic factors. I think I was censored because of photographs of the locals. As an anthropologist and pagan, I'm furious.

I sometimes find that Neo-paganism is a stepping stone for Christians on their way to Atheism. Certainly, one of the most monumental moments from my early days was letting go of the Christian belief -- not in the idea of God or prayer, but in context of my relationship to the world. Prime example: If we reincarnate, my mother isn't "my" mother. In Christianity, she only has one go around, and I am her child. She may not be my mother next time, and I might not be her son. Severing the…

I attended a group, full-moon ritual last night; and, although it wasn't the greatest experience that I had, it was inspiring for greater work.
A real take away for me was attaching my sun-sign, Taurus, with a new totem. I was presented with an image of a stout, broad animal with some kind of spike, and it came to me in several forms: Bull was in their, but also warthog and, most-notably, Rhinoceros.
It occurs to me that Rhinoceros is a new sacred cow for our…

Well, GoddessPlace is humming along. I'm just having DNS trouble getting the URL to display goddessplace.net rather than the Ning subdomain. I don't think the change will affect content, and I see you've already begin to customize your site.
Hey, I've posted the first chapter of a book I'm writing on www.ravensdaughter.com/world. If you like the genre, check it out.
Blessings as always,

Given there are not 2 things in this universe that are exactly alike, wouldnt your creations be unique even if it is a myriad of preexistances put together in a new way with a sllightly different vision? The only real squelching of my creations (artistic among other) are my personal judgements. I have successfully set those aside through meditation, worship and prayer and biofeedback, but mostly through biofeedback. Anyway, I wanted to tell you what a well-organized and unique website both yours personally and the whole. In addition, I wondered do you have any familiarity with "Indra's net" in hinduism?
be well.
